Brandon Aiyuk Trolls 49ers' Kyle Shanahan in New Photo, Won't Return to 'power plant wtf'

Brandon Aiyuk's feud with the San Francisco 49ers continued on Saturday.

The wide receiver called out head coach Kyle Shanahan on social media. Aiyuk also claimed that the Niners' offense isn't the same without him on the field.

Aiyuk and the 49ers have gone back and forth with each other for nearly a year now, and Aiyuk has taken things public through a number of social media posts. He's called out San Francisco's front office and coaching staff numerous times, including a post where he claimed the team lied about his contract situation.

"When the news finally came out that my guarantees were voided in November," Aiyuk wrote, "the team continued to lie to the media/fan base acting as if that was not a decision that was made in July."

But his grievances haven't just been with the 49ers. He also called out Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels after previously saying that he wanted to team up with him.

On Saturday, he took a shot at the NFL Players' Association, which Aiyuk said tried to "start a smear campaign to try and tarnish [Aiyuk's]."

Aiyuk and the 49ers clearly have no plans of reconciling, but the team still hasn't released him. Whether Aiyuk can generate any interest in either free agency or on the trade market remains to be seen.

His social media activity certainly isn't helping.

"He continues to nuke his job prospects at this point," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said on SportsCenter earlier this month. "I've talked to several teams about Brandon Aiyuk, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Is there any sort of sound strategy he's employing here? And they can't think of anything other than this is just sort of insensible."

At his best, Aiyuk is an All-Pro-level receiver, but he hasn't played in a season and a half and is only damaging his image through his social media. At this point, it's hard to imagine any team will be interested in picking him up ahead of the 2026 campaign.
