Fatal Influence Beat Paige, Brie Bella to Win WWE Women's Tag Titles at SNME in MSG

Mike ChiariJul 18, 2026

Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid beat Paige and Brie Bella at Saturday Night's Main Event at Madison Square Garden in New York City to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships for the first time.

Late in the match, Paige sent Henley into the post and appeared to start attempting a German suplex near the ropes. Reid held onto Henley from the outside to prevent that from happening, but Brie then jumped off the steps and clotheslined Reid, taking them both out.

Paige attempted to roll Henley up for a pin and got a two-count. However, Jacy Jayne then reversed the roll-up while the ref was counting the pin. That tactic worked, as Henley got the three-count for the victory.

Although Paige and Brie were something of a makeshift team due to Nikki Bella being unable to compete because of an injury, they meshed together quickly and won the WWE women's tag team titles at WrestleMania 42.

In the weeks and months that followed, Paige and Brie became some of the most active women's tag team champions in recent memory, successfully defending against the likes of Lash Legend and Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.

However, while the veteran duo was showing that they are still among the best the WWE women's division has to offer, a group of young, hungry Superstars started to make their mark on SmackDown.

Comprised of Jacy Jayne, Henley and Reid, Fatal Influence got called up from NXT to the main roster after WrestleMania, and they quickly made their mark.

Jayne was victorious against Charlotte Flair in one of her first main roster matches, while Fatal Influence collectively defeated Flair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley in a six-woman tag team match.

Henley and Reid had a chance to put themselves in the women's tag team title conversation on the June 12 episode of SmackDown, as they were granted a non-title match with Paige and Brie after attacking them backstage.

Paige and Brie came out on top, so the title opportunity was delayed, but Fatal Influence worked their way back into contention.

Lainey defeated Brie in a singles match on the July 3 edition of SmackDown, which led to Henley and Reid being granted a championship match at SNME.

After gaining some momentum from that win, Henley and Reid continued to roll on Saturday, capitalizing on their first WWE women's tag team title opportunity by beating Paige and Brie.
