Bellingham scored a game-tying goal late in the first half after the ball appeared to hit a camera cable hanging over the field.
FIFA later explained that the sensor within the ball showed "no peak in the 'heartbeat of the ball'" when it was in the air and there was "no evidence that the ball touched the overhead wire and changed the movement of the ball."
Norway assistant Kent Bergersen didn't agree with FIFA's ruling.
"Just before the goal, the ball hits the cable with the camera on it, causing it to change direction and fall shorter than it should have," Bergersen said at the half, via Ben Burrows, Dan Sheldon and Graham Scott of The Athletic. "The referee should have spotted that.
"There's nothing we can do about it now. We'll just have to grit our teeth and get on with it."
England ultimately held Norway scoreless throughout the second half as well as extra time, with Bellingham picking up his second goal in the 93rd minute to secure the win.
A similar situation involving the sensor in the ball occurred during Portugal's 2-1 win over Croatia in the Round of 32.
While Croatia seemingly scored an equalizer in stoppage time, the goal was overturned after the sensor detected the ball contacted Croatia's Igor Matanović and resulted in an offside call.
Saturday marked a tough end to an impressive World Cup run for Norway and Erling Haaland, as he amassed seven goals during the tournament.
