Luke Kornet Recruits LeBron James with Hilarious 'Leaked' Voice Memo Amid NBA Free Agency Rumors
San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet is joining in on the bidding war for star free agent LeBron James.
Kornet released a Medium blog post Friday in response to a report from ESPN's Shams Charania that James' agent Rich Paul has been asking teams to pitch his client through voice memos.
"We have obtained the exclusive audio of one such voice memo, that of the defending Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs," Kornet wrote before linking to a video recording of his own voice memo.

Kornet introduced himself at the start of the voice memo by saying he was the player James yelled at "a little bit" during the 2025 NBA Cup quarterfinals.
He went on to pitch James on reasons to join the Spurs, including the chance to play alongside both him and Victor Wembanyama.
"A lot of young talent, an easy place to live, tax-free, that's always something," Kornet told James, before joking: "You can play alongside a generational player, and Victor too."
Other pros of playing in San Antonio mentioned by Kornet included SeaWorld, La Panadería and the availability of his own guest room.
"You're chasing No. 5, and we've got five," Kornet said. "Looking for No. 6, so we're kind of all in the same ballpark."
Paul told ESPN last week he has spoken to 27 teams, a field from which ESPN's Shams Charania recently reported the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as frontrunners.
NBA insiders Jake Fischer and Marc Stein reported the Spurs are not expected to pursue James after signing Tobias Harris.
The Spurs still have access to the veteran minimum exception after signing Harris, per ESPN's Bobby Marks.
Charania previously reported James would be willing to take that deal in order to play for a contender, so Kornet could be hoping to keep the Spurs in the race as a dark-horse candidate to sign James this offseason.
