Haaland, Norway vs. Kane, England Top Storylines, Odds, Live Stream for World Cup 2026
Two of the best goal-scorers in the world will go head-to-head on Saturday in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.
Erling Haaland brought Norway on an unexpected ride to the final eight, while Harry Kane and England are right where they wanted to be.
Haaland and Kane have 13 goals between them in the tournament. No one would be surprised if they each add to their goal tallies on Saturday in Miami.
The strikers will deservedly get a ton of attention, but it might be the supporting casts on either side that determine the final result.

All Eyes on Erling Haaland, Harry Kane
2 of 3
Erling Haaland and Harry Kane come into Saturday with 13 combined goals at the 2026 World Cup.
Six of those 13 tallies were netted in the knockout round. They each have one multi-goal performance over the last two rounds.
Both players have been able to score out of nothing. For example, Kane barely touched the ball in the first 70 minutes against DR Congo and then scored twice in the final 15 minutes.
Haaland showed up in the final 11 minutes against Brazil with a pair of tallies that placed Norway into the quarterfinals.
No one would be surprised if one, or both, players find the back of the net again in Miami.
The goal for both defenses is to try and limit their time with the ball inside 30 yards from goal.
Haaland and Kane have proved that no matter how much, or how little, time they have on the ball, they can pop up and score in clutch moments.
Whichever defense takes away the most time and space from the opposing striker will probably come away with the victory.
Supporting Casts Will Be Vital
3 of 3
The supporting casts on either side might actually be more important than the star strikers.
You could argue that because the players in and around Haaland and Kane will do the grunt work trying to create spaces and pick passes into the forwards.
Martin Odegaard was more active in exploring the space in the final third against Brazil than he has been all tournament. The Arsenal midfielder need to probe through the England back line to not just open space for Haaland, but to create some space for himself to shoot as well.
Jude Bellingham will be relied on to have the same type of presence in the England midfield.
Bellingham's been one of the top 10 players of the tournament. His goal-scoring qualities give England a slight edge over Norway if you were to break down the matchup position by position.
The goalkeepers may be huge as well. Jordan Pickford and Orjan Nyland are more than capable of keeping the game scoreless deep into the second half.
Nyland may have to be the busier of the two goalkeepers, though, because Norway hasn't kept a clean sheet in the tournament.
