Fastest Teams in EA's SPORTS College Football 27
Speed.
You either have it or you don't.
In college football, there is no greater commodity. And in College Football 27, EA SPORTS' latest installment of this glorious college football franchise, certain teams have been bestowed more quickness than other.
If you're looking for the fastest teams in the game, look no further. After sorting through each team and thousands of players, we have found the fastest in this digital space.
Before we begin, let's take inventory.
Only three players have been gifted a speed rating of 99. Those players are South Carolina's Nyck Harbor, UCLA's Rodrick Pleasant and Oregon's Gatlin Bair.
As for the teams, we have those results in hand. Some might surprise; some will be plenty obvious.
Here's a look at the fastest teams in College Football 27 as actual football inches closer.
Just Missed: A Familiar Bunch
1 of 6
These teams have plenty of the speed, although they weren't fast enough to crack the top five. The teams on the outside looking in are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson and Georgia.
Notre Dame had 20 players with a 90-speed rating or higher, headlined by true freshman cornerback Khary Adams (94). Ohio State had 21 players rated with 90 speed. Jeremiah Smith, the top-rated player in the game, was gifted a speed rating of 95.
Clemson and Georgia each had 22 players with a speed rating of 90 or higher. Chris Johnson Jr., a transfer from SMU, could give the Tigers a game-changing weapon. His 96-speed rating is one of the fastest for a running back in the game.
Defensive back Gentry Williams, an Oklahoma transfer, will now help power Georgia's secondary. A 97 rating in the speed department certainly helps.
Texas

Given the way Texas has recruited and added talent over the past five years, the Longhorns' placement on this list should come as no surprise. Steve Sarkisian has rebuilt his roster in meaningful ways year over year, and the results are on display in this pixelated world.
Texas has 22 players on its roster with a 90 speed or higher. Perhaps more impressively, the Longhorns have eight players at 93 speed or higher.
The headliner is wideout Ryan Wingo. The junior is coming off an 854-yard, seven-touchdown season, and he has an impressive speed rating of 97 to go with it.
Other highlights on the team include safety Xavier Filsaime, a former 4-star who has limited reps so far. Raleek Brown, a running back who transferred from Arizona State, has a speed rating of 95.
While other teams have more speed—including some very notable rivals—Texas has proven to be one of the most athletic teams in the country.
Miami
3 of 6
The runner up from a season ago was no fluke.
Head coach Mario Cristobal arrived at Miami with hopes of injecting both life and resources into the program, and he's done just that.
Miami has rebuilt its roster gradually, adding through both recruiting and the transfer portal. The end result is one of the fastest teams in college football—a team with 23 players with a speed rating of 90 or more. Six of those players have a speed rating of 92 or greater.
New quarterback Darian Mensah might not have an elite speed figure, but he'll have plenty of speedy players to throw to. Freshman wideout Vance Spafford leads the pack with a 94 rating. Sophomore running back Girard Pringle Jr., who delivered some dazzling moments, could deliver plenty more.
And then there's Malachi Toney, who was gifted a 93 speed. While that's plenty impressive, Toney's speed is only a portion of what makes him one of the best wideouts in all of college football.
Miami, as it turns out, is here to stay.
Ole Miss
4 of 6
Even without Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss has assembled a lineup loaded with tremendous athletes.
For as loud as Kiffin's departure was, the returning talent is still robust. The Rebels are ranked in the top 10 College Football 27, and they're loaded in key positions.
Oh, and they can scoot.
Ole Miss has 24 players with a 90 speed or higher, the third most in the country. There are also nine players with a speed rating of 92 or higher. Unsurprisingly for those who have watched this team play over the last few years, the offense does the heavy lifting.
Cameron Miller, formerly of Kentucky was given 94 speed. The wideout is joined by fellow pass catcher Caleb Cunningham, an uber-coveted recruit in the class of 2025.
Last but not least, there's Kewan Lacy. After running for more than 1,500 yards as a sophomore, Lacy blossomed into a star during the Rebels' postseason run. He's one of the best running backs in the sport, and his 93 speed is part of the reason why.
Even without Lane, this team can move.
Oregon
5 of 6
For at least one moment, forget about speed.
EA SPORTS sees the Ducks as the No. 1 team in college football, giving Oregon a rating of 91 on offense, defense and overall. With Dante Moore back at quarterback and a slew of key players at key positions poised for a breakthrough, it's not hard to see why this team is on tap.
As for speed, Oregon has more than just about any team in college football. A total of 26 Ducks have a speed rating of 90 or more, and 10 players have a rating of 92 or higher.
True freshman Gatlin Bair, who was mentioned previously, is one of the exclusive few with 99 overall speed.
Offensively, this is just the start. Wide receiver Dakorien Moore, a super recruit from a season ago, was given a speed rating of 96. And wideout Evan Stewart, who battled injuries last year, has a speed rating of 94.
To say the offense has options would be an understatement. The Ducks aren't just good, they're really, really fast.
Texas A&M
6 of 6
Perhaps this is a surprise to some, although it probably shouldn't be.
Texas A&M is the fastest team in College Football 27, and the Aggies take the crown convincingly so.
A&M's 26 players with a 90 speed rating or better are tied with Oregon for the most. But where this team separates is at the top. Three players have a speed rating of 95 or higher, and 11 players are rated 93 or higher.
Unlike Oregon, the speed for the Aggies starts on defense, Cornerbacks Julio Humphrey (98 speed) and Brandon Arrington (96 speed) lead the charge. Wideouts Jayden Warren (96 speed) and Mario Craver (94 speed) aren't far behind.
All of this translates to a No. 14 overall ranking for Texas A&M, which found itself in the College Football Playoff a season ago before losing at home to Miami. This year, hope and optimism are still very much in place.
If A&M is to win big once again, it'll start with the tremendous athletes on its roster.
