The NFL world has rallied around legendary running back Chris Johnson since he announced his ALS diagnosis, and Deion Sanders and Adrian Peterson were the latest to support him.
The Colorado head coach and the Minnesota Vikings great did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on social media. Peterson nominated other iconic running backs like LaDainian Tomlinson, Emmitt Smith, Ricky Williams and Eric Dickerson.

The Ice Bucket Challenge gained popularity over a decade ago to raise awareness for ALS, and Johnson's recent diagnosis has brought it back among the NFL world.
Johnson announced his diagnosis on Good Morning America last week.
Johnson was one of the NFL's most prolific running backs during his prime, and now the NFL community is looking to rally around him to continue raising awareness for the disease.
