Cameron Boozer Talks NBA Summer League Debut with Grizzlies After No. 3 Draft Pick
Memphis Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick in this year's NBA draft, just enjoyed a successful summer league debut, posting 15 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 111-74 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Boozer spoke after the game about his performance, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

"It felt comfortable," Boozer said. "Obviously it's still an adjustment because going to a whole new team, whole new system, you got [only] one week of practice before playing. But I felt good, especially with this group. They're very easy to play with just because everyone's playing for each other, playing the right way. So I feel comfortable. Obviously there's a lot of learning to do still, but I feel good for sure."
Boozer shot 7-of-11 from the field in his 24 minutes. He played a big role in Memphis' dominant game, which featured the Grizzlies outscoring OKC 33-22 in both the first and second quarters and 19-8 in the third quarter.
The former Duke superstar showcased the talents that made him the reigning collegiate national player of the year in his lone season with the Blue Devils.
Boozer is the team's present and future now. The Ja Morant-Jaren Jackson era is over after the Grizzlies traded Jackson to the Utah Jazz last February and Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers in June.
Boozer provided a thoughtful answer when asked about being the team's focal point (h/t Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian).
Boozer certainly showed up Saturday and did the right things en route to a 37-point win, and he'll look to continue that trend Monday when they play the Utah Jazz.
