USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino has a decision to make when it comes to how to handle Thursday's game.
The USMNT is locked into a July 1 round-of-32 contest versus a third-place team.
Pochettino could choose to keep his starters in a rhythm and have them play Turkiye, or he could rest them with the knockout round on the horizon.
There will probably be a mixed of starters and reserves in the starting XI. Pochettino likely won't make wholesale changes.
However, we could see Ricardo Pepi take over for Folarin Balogun up top, as well as Tim Weah and Brenden Aaronson in the attacking midfield roles.
Chris Richards and Tim Ream are easy to replace with Auston Trusty and Mark McKenzie as well.
It's just a matter of how many changes Pochettino wants to make and what his beliefs are when it comes to approaching a meaningless game.
Christian Pulisic's health is still in the spotlight. He is back in training, but the debate around him is whether or not you risk playing him in a game of Thursday's stature.
Pulisic could receive an extra week of rest for his calf injury to be fully ready to go in the knockout round.
At the moment, the USMNT's path to the quarterfinals is shaping up nicely. It plays a third-place team in the round of 32 and then takes on either the Group G winner (Egypt or Belgium) or a third-place team in the round of 16.
Turkiye will leave the tournament as one of the most disappointing side. It was picked by many to challenge the USMNT for first place in Group D.
The Turks have an opportunity to play for pride on Thursday, but given how tough it is to deal with elimination after two matches, it might be hard for them to get up for the contest at Sofi Stadium.
