
Boston, Glasgow Announce Partnership After Trending Videos of Scotland Fans at 2026 World Cup
Boston is embracing the influx of soccer fans arriving for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by becoming formally connected to Scotland.
Mayor Michelle Wu announced Thursday that Boston will officially become sister cities with Glasgow.
Wu wore a pink Scotland jersey at the signing, during which she joined in on fans' "No Scotland, no party" chant.

The Scottish men's national team opened World Cup play with a 1-0 win against Haiti last Saturday in Foxborough. The squad is set to return to the stadium Friday for a match against Morocco.
