According to Front Office Sports, the Pop-Tarts Bowl for the 2026 college football season will take place on Dec. 29 and air on ESPN.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl has quickly gained popularity since it was changed from the Cheez-It Bowl in 2023, featuring unique trophies and edible mascots to go along with plenty of viral moments.
Last season, BYU took down Georgia Tech, 25-21, to take home all the pastries. Their clash averaged 8.7 million viewers, becoming the most-watched non-College Football Playoff or New Year's Six bowl game since theย Citrus Bowl in Jan. 2020.
Iowa State previously defeated Miami in the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl, while Kansas State secured a 28-19 win over NC State at the inaugural Pop-Tarts Bowl in 2023.
