'No Excuses,' James Harden Addresses 'Fatigue' Factor in New Video After Cavs' G3 Loss to Knicks
After falling behind 3-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks with Saturday night's 121-108 loss in Game 3, the Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be running out of gas.
Veteran guard James Harden was asked after the game if "fatigue" is a factor for the Cavs, and he declared that he and his teammates simply need to get back to being themselves.
"No excuses," Harden said around the 10:12 mark. "We got a game plan, we gotta execute our game plan a little bit better. And then we gotta have the confidence and find out how to make some shots. We do that, then we give ourselves a chance."
Harden had 19 points, five assists and six turnovers in Saturday's loss. He shot just 1-of-7 from beyond the arc, as the Cavs hit just 29 percent of their three-pointers.
Before facing New York, Cleveland had to overcome back-to-back seven-game series against the Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons. The Cavs have one of the most talented lineups on paper, but they don't seem to have any answers against a Knicks team that has now won 10 straight playoff games.
Harden and the Cavs will try to avoid elimination when they meet the Knicks for Game 4 in Cleveland on Monday night.
