Saturday Recap
Leicester City 4-2 Sunderland
After surviving in style last season, the Foxes started as they mean to go on this year, as they put Sunderland to the sword.
The Foxes were 3-0 up at half-time after Jamie Vardy headed home the opener, while Mahrez netted a brace with a headed effort of his own before converting a penalty.
Gary Lineker was full of enthusiasm for his former team:
Jermain Defoe's strike on the hour mark sparked hope of a comeback for the Black Cats, but after putting in a dominant performance, including two assists, Marc Albrighton fittingly netted the final goal to kill off Sunderland.

Steven Fletcher made the scoreline slightly more respectable with his effort, but the goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
The BBC's John Bennett believes the game marks a promising spell for Ranieri in the Midlands:
Leicester face difficult matches against West Ham United and Tottenham in their next two fixtures, so getting some points on the board early was vital and could provide a springboard for more positive results.
As for Sunderland, the threat of relegation will likely hang over them for the majority of the campaign, but a home game against Norwich City provides an excellent chance to bounce back.
Everton 2-2 Watford
Six players made their debut for the Hornets on Saturday, but Watford played well throughout and will be disappointed not to have hung on for the win.
Miguel Layun took full advantage from some slack defending by the Toffees, as he struck a powerful half-volley into the bottom corner.

Roberto Martinez's men struggled to respond and were fortunate not to find themselves 2-0 down at half-time. The Toffees were much improved after the restart, though, with Romelu Lukaku, James McCarthy and Arouna Kone all coming close.
Everton grabbed a deserved equaliser through Ross Barkley, whose slightly deflected strike from the edge of the area found the top corner.
Odion Ighalo put Watford back in front with a lovely goal, beating John Stones and Phil Jagielka before slotting home neatly.
The Hornets could not hang on for a memorable win, however, as Everton again equalised with four minutes of normal time remaining through Kone.

After Watford's performance at Goodison Park, the mood will be high going into their home match with West Bromwich Albion in Week 2, so expect the Hornets to follow up with a positive result.
For Everton, things get tricky, as they travel to Southampton, but if they can replicate their second-half performance the match will be a close contest indeed.
