Cristiano Ronaldo Wins 1st Al-Nassr Trophy After Clinching 2026 Saudi Pro League Title
Cristiano Ronaldo finally has his Saudi Pro League Title.
Al-Nassr beat Damac 4-1 on Thursday, clinching its first championship in seven years behind Ronaldo's brace.
Since joining Al-Nassr in the 2022-23 season, Ronaldo and his teammates finished second in the league twice and third last season. He hasn't been the reason for the team falling short—across those four seasons, he's scored 102 goals and added 17 assists. But All-Nassr couldn't quite get over the hump until this season.
The club finished two points above Al-Hilal, needing the final matchday to clinch. Since Al-Nassr last won the title, Al-Hilal notched four championships and Al-Ittihad two.
When Ronaldo's lengthy career comes to a close, it won't be his achievements at Al-Nassr that lead the story. He'll be far more remembered for his dominance in Europe at Manchester United (three Premier League titles, one UCL title), Real Madrid (two La Liga titles, four UCL crowns) and Juventus (two Serie A titles), or leading Portugal to a European championship in 2016.
Individually, he's a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, three-time FIFA Player of the Year, three-time UEFA Player of Year, seven-time UCL top scorer, three-time La Liga top scorer, one time Premier League top scorer, one-time Serie A top scorer and four-time European Golden Shoe winner.
Lionel Messi will probably prevail as the top player of the generation, and likely of all time, but Ronaldo is undoubtedly close behind in that conversation. His career has been astonishing to behold.
And now he has one more achievement to add to the mix.
