New ESPN NBA Mock Draft After Lottery Released with Wizards at No. 1, Bulls and Clippers in Top 5
The NBA draft lottery took place on Sunday afternoon, with the Washington Wizards winning the top overall selection.
Not long after, ESPN's Jeremy Woo released a mock draft, projecting BYU's AJ Dybantsa to go No. 1 overall, Kansas guard No. 2 to the Utah Jazz, Duke big man Cam Boozer No. 3 to the Memphis Grizzlies, UNC forward Caleb Wilson No. 4 to the Chicago Bulls and Illinois guard Keaton Wagler No. 5 to the Los Angeles Clippers (who received the pick after the Indiana Pacers dropped out of the top five).
Woo wrote that "Dybantsa is a strong fit for Washington on paper, even with the Wizards' collection of younger wings, with his physicality and athletic tools giving him major two-way upside."

Wizards Projected to Select AJ Dybantsa 📍
It was a good day for a Wizards franchise that has been trying to properly retool since the John Wall and Bradley Beal era.
Dybantsa averaged 25.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season for BYU. He's long been the frontrunner for the top overall pick and should fit nicely with Anthony Davis and Trae Young, though Peterson will be a major consideration.
At No. 2, Woo wrote of the Kansas superstar that his "shot-creation and elite long-range shooting would give [the Jazz] a potential top-tier scorer to build around."
Peterson averaged 20.2 points per game last season when he played, though he only appeared in 24 contests and was limited a fair amount, with uncertainty around his injury status that raised some eyebrows. But the talent is undeniably there.
Boozer seems like a pretty safe bet to be the No. 3 overall pick to Memphis before the draft gets pretty interesting. As Woo noted, his "NBA-ready offensive game and ultra-reliable production would slot in neatly with the Grizzlies' personnel."
Few players in college basketball were steadier last season, with Boozer putting up 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest. There may be uncertainty surrounding Ja Morant's future, but Boozer will give them a new face of the franchise however that situation resolves.
The Bulls, then, may have the first truly unpredictable pick of the draft. Wilson would certainly make sense, though arguments could also be made for Wagler or Alabama's Darius Acuff Jr. But with Josh Giddey leading the way in Chicago, a versatile forward like Wilson would be a strong fit.
