
ESPN's Dick Vitale Shares Positive Health Update on Cancer Treatment After Melanoma Diagnosis
Legendary college basketball broadcaster Dick Vitale shared a positive update on his cancer treatment on Saturday.
In a post on X, Vitale announced that an MRI showed the cancer hasn't spread to his brain and he will continue to undergo immunotherapy for the melanoma in his lungs and liver.

On April 13, in a statement released via ESPN, Vitale announced a biopsy confirmed the presence of a melanoma in his lungs and liver cavity that would require him to undergo treatment.
This marked Vitale's fifth different cancer diagnosis since 2021. He previously had a separate melanoma, lymphoma, vocal-cord cancer and lymph node cancer.
Vitale recently called his first NCAA tournament game on March 17 as part of the TNT Sports broadcast with Brian Anderson and Charles Barkley for the First Four game between Texas and North Carolina State.
