Following the May 10 draft lottery, the combine is set to take place from May 10-17 in Chicago. The 2026 NBA draft is set to begin on June 23 in Brooklyn.
Additional prospects will be invited following the NBA G League Draft Combine from May 9-10 in Chicago.
Notable college players invited to the combine include UNC's Caleb Wilson, Arkansas' Darius Acuff Jr., Illinois' Keaton Wagler, Houston's Kingston Flemings, Louisville's Mikel Brown Jr., Arizona's Brayden Burries and Alabama's Labaron Philon Jr.
All seven of those players were projected as top-10 picks in Jonathan Wasserman's latest 2026 NBA mock draft for Bleacher Report.
Wasserman predicted that Dybantsa will be the No. 1 pick, followed by Peterson at No. 2 and Boozer at No. 3.
He noted, however, that those three players "are each No. 1 on various scouts' boards."
"There is still some hesitation around Peterson's shot difficulty and lack of playmaking evidence at Kansas," Wasserman reported. "And a fraction of NBA staff still believe Boozer's lack of explosion/quickness will restrict his advantage-creation, limit his defensive effectiveness and consequently block roads to upside."
"Nobody seems to have serious worries about Dybantsa... While Peterson and Boozer will remain in the No. 1 overall conversation, Dybantsa's case right now has the fewest holes."
Peterson also missed time due to injury issues including full-body cramping during his freshman season at Kansas. How scouts evaluate his health going forward could potentially impact his draft stock.
The Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets areheading into next weekend's lottery with top odds at the No. 1 pick, per Tankathon. How the lottery shakes out will impact which teams are in the running to add one of these top players in June.
