SGA Explains Why He Gets Fouled Often After 17 FTAs in Thunder's Playoff Win vs. Suns
Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander explained why he frequently gets fouled after attempting 17 free throws during the team's 119-84 win over the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday.
"When you drive the ball a lot, you get fouled a lot just because most of the fouls happen on drives and I drive the ball a lot," Gilgeous-Alexander told reporters after the game. "So, that probably adds up to it."
The reigning MVP finished with 25 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two blocks against Phoenix. Gilgeous-Alexander shot 5-of-18 from the field, but went 15-of-17 at the charity stripe.
