Miami Offers CFB Scholarship Off Social Media Video, What to Know About Viral Rugby Star Neff Giwa
Miami and several other Power 4 teams are taking notice of a rugby star from Ireland as they look to assemble their rosters for the upcoming season.
Per The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, Miami's Mario Cristobal was among the Power 4 head coaches to offer Neff Giwa a scholarship after seeing a video of him on social media last week.

Giwa, a 6'7", 295-pound 20-year-old who currently plays rugby in England has never played organized football and has only seen highlights, but that hasn't stopped schools from recruiting him.
Brandon Collier, who runs Germany-based Premier Prospects International (PPI), posted videos of Giwa last week, which led to interest from Cristobal and other coaches. According to Feldman, Collier first heard about Giwa in January.
Feldman noted that PPI produced eight SEC starters last season and has led around 100 international athletes to play at the collegiate level. It appears Giwa will be the next PPI product to make the jump to college football, but where he'll end up is still to be decided.
