Bronny James Hyped by NBA Fans After Poster Dunk on Video for Lakers' G League Team
Bronny James is still trying to establish himself in the NBA as his father had at his age, and while he is currently in the G League, his athleticism resembles that of his dad.
James threw down a vicious dunk during the South Bay Lakers' G League matchup on Sunday, getting up with the same kind of elevation we've seen from LeBron James.
James, a second-round pick in 2024, is putting up just 2.1 points per game in the NBA, playing 7.2 minutes per contest in 31 games, but he's been solid in the G League, posting 15.3 points, 3.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds in nine games.
It's also worth noting that James is just 21 years old and only a few years removed from a major heart incident that set him back some in college. The young player may not be on his way to an all-time career like that of his father's, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him eventually make his way into a team's regular rotation.
This year's Lakers team might not be the place he'll get much playing time, though, as Los Angeles has its sights set on a championship and doesn't exactly have the flexibility to let young players develop.
For now, James will look to continue playing well in the G League and making the most of his NBA minutes when they come.
