
Alabama's Ryan Williams Reveals New Jersey Number, Will Go by Different Last Name in 2026
Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams is changing things up for the 2026 season.
In a social media post on Friday from Yea Alabama, the school's NIL collective, it was announced the Crimson Tide star will now go by Ryan Coleman-Williams and will be wearing jersey No. 1.

Per Mike Rodak of 247Sports, the name change incorporates the last name of Ryan's mother, Tiffany Coleman.
Coleman-Williams has worn jersey No. 2 in each of his first two seasons at Alabama. Fellow wide receiver Isaiah Horton wore No. 1 in 2025, but he left the program to transfer to Texas A&M in January.
Prior to starting his college career, Coleman-Williams wore jersey No. 1 in high school at Saraland. He was the fourth-ranked overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class.
In his first two years at Alabama, Coleman-Williams has lived up to his recruiting hype. The 19-year-old has 1,554 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 27 games.
Friday's jersey reveal from Yea Alabama comes as the Crimson Tide get set to open spring practice on Saturday.
