Doric SamMar 5, 2026

After partnering with Depend last year following his bladder cancer surgery, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders brought his story to life in his first commercial for the company.

Sanders starred in Depend's "Don't Be Afraid Hero" ad spot showcasing the Fresh Protection Guards to address bladder leakage.

"It helped to give me my life back," Sanders said in the commercial. "It changes everything, but you. Take it from me, don't be afraid to try Depend Guards. It can do for you what it's done for me."

Sanders has been open about his lifestyle changes in his continued recovery from bladder cancer. During the 2025 season, he had a portable toilet installed next to the Buffaloes' bench through his partnership with Depend.

Sanders underwent bladder removal surgery in the spring of 2025 after being diagnosed with bladder cancer earlier in the year. He managed to coach Colorado for the entirety of last season, and the team finished with a 3-9 record.

Through his partnership with Depend, Sanders is hoping to help end the stigma around bladder leakage and encourage others to address their health issues with products designed to help them live comfortably.
