The Lakers have continued to shuttle James between the NBA and G League. This will be his seventh different stint of the season with South Bay.
James most recently played for the G League club on Feb. 11 against the San Diego Clippers. He had 12 points and six assists in 29 minutes off the bench.
The 21-year-old has played a total of 10 games with South Bay this season. He's averaging 12.0 points on 46.0 percent shooting, 5.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
James recently had his most productive game with the Los Angeles Lakers. On Feb. 10 against the San Antonio Spurs, with Luka Dončić out due to an injury and the other four primary starters sitting out, head coach JJ Redick relied on his role players to get them through the game.
Even though the Lakers lost 136-108 to the Spurs, James played a season-high 25 minutes off the bench. He scored 12 points, dished out six assists and grabbed three rebounds.
After the back-to-back in Texas, the South Bay team is off until Wednesday. James could potentially rejoin the NBA club as early as Sunday.
The Lakers begin their post-All-Star schedule on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, followed by games against the Boston Celtics on Sunday and Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
Los Angeles closes out the month with road games against the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors on Feb. 26 and 28.
James is averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 assists per game in 29 appearances with the Lakers.
