Lakers' Jaxson Hayes and All Contestants Revealed for 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest
Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes will be joined in the 2026 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk contest field by San Antonio Spurs forward Carter Bryant, Orlando Magic guard Jase Richardson and Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson.
The Slam Dunk Contest will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, one night before the 2026 NBA All-Star Game at the same venue.
Hayes, 25, will look to become the first Lakers player to win the Slam Dunk Contest since Kobe Bryant did so as a rookie during the 1997 All-Star festivities in Cleveland.
Carter Bryant, meanwhile, will look to make a name for himself on a national stage. As a rookie with the Spurs, Bryant is averaging 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds a game in just 8.6 minutes a night.
Johnson, a second-year pro out of San Diego State, will join Bryant in trying to put himself on the map. A rotation player for Erik Spoelstra's Heat, Johnson is averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 boards a night.
Richardson is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, Jason Richardson, and capture Slam Dunk glory.
The elder Richardson won back-to-back Dunk Contest titles in 2002 and 2003 as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
