National Signing Day 2026 News and Predictions for Top Available Recruits
Indiana narrowly outplayed Miami in Monday's College Football Playoff Championship, winning 27-21 and officially bringing a close to the 2025-26 collegiate season.
With the CFP in the rear view, it's time for programs to fully focus on what's left of the 2026 recruiting cycle. To be honest, there isn't much.
While the regular national signing period won't open until February 4, the vast majority of top recruits are already signed with programs. Only one top-200 prospect, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings, remains unsigned heading into the regular signing period.
Most major programs are already well into the recruiting process for 2027.
Some quality recruits are still available, though, even if they aren't the biggest names. Let's dive into some of the latest buzz and make a few predictions.
Dylan Berymon, DL, Ouachita Parish
1 of 3
4-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon is the only top-200 recruit on the 247Sports board who isn't currently signed. The 199th-ranked prospect is only available, though, because he decommitted from Texas in November.
Since then, the Quachita Parish (Monroe, LA) standout has narrowed his choices to a pair of schools—both of which he has recently visited.
"Right now, it is going to be between Kentucky and Nebraska," he told Rivals' Chad Simmons.
Berymon has visited both Nebraska and Kentucky this month and appears poised to pick between the two programs in February. However, Oklahoma State is hoping to land a visit with Berymon before then, according to On3's Adam Luckett.
The prediction here is that the Wildcats get the last word and the recruit.
Prediction: Kentucky
Samson Gash, WR, Catholic Central
2 of 3
Technically, 4-star wide receiver Samson Gash is committed to Michigan State, where is brother, Caleb Gash, plays defensive back. However, the Catholic Central (Novi, MI) product hasn't signed and doesn't sound truly committed.
"I still consider myself committed but I am weighing all options right now," Gash said, per Greg Biggins of Rivals/On3.
The 6'0", 180-pound pass-catcher has received offers from Wisconsin, Penn State, and Georgia since committing to the Spartans. He also visited with Penn State and has a final visit scheduled with Michigan State later this month, according to 247Sports.
While no one will be surprised to see recruits flipping commitments late in the process, the prediction here is that the draw of playing with his brother keeps Gash headed to East Lansing.
Prediction: Michigan State
Damaad Lewis, DL, Myers Park
3 of 3
3-star defensive lineman Damaad Lewis was headed to Florida State. However, the Myers Park (Charlotte, NC) star announced he was headed back into the recruiting pool in mid-January.
The 6-4, 245-pound prospect had committed in November, after visiting with the program and roughly a month after receiving an offer from Nebraska. Lewis has received offers from several other programs, including Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, NC State, and Texas, according to 247Sports.
Lewis has not received an offer from LSU, where his brother and current Carolina Panthers lineman Damien Lewis played.
While Lewis appears to have a myriad of options, the prediction here is that he remains close to his brother by landing in the Carolina area.
Prediction: NC State
