Dylan Raiola Rumors Reveal Potential Landing Spot in CFB Transfer Portal After Peach Bowl

Julia StumbaughJan 10, 2026

Oregon could follow up its Peach Bowl loss to Indiana by bringing in a new quarterback for the 2026 season.

Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola is "expected to visit Oregon," On3's Pete Nakos reported Saturday.

The news comes after Oregon quarterback Dante Moore declined to answer after the Peach Bowl whether he would be declaring for the 2026 NFL draft.

"At the end of the day, I mean, I don't know my decision yet," Moore said after Friday's CFP semifinal loss.

Moore has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining, but he's also projected as a top-two pick in the latest Bleacher Report NFL mock draft.

Bleacher Report currently projects the Las Vegas Raiders to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick, while Moore is projected to go next to the New York Jets.

According to Nakos, Raiola has yet to make any publicly announced visits to schools since entering the transfer portal on Dec. 15.

Nakos wrote Saturday that "it remains unclear how he factors into the Ducks' plans at quarterback, but sources across the nation continue to link Raiola to Oregon."

ESPN's Pete Thamel similarly reported ahead of the Peach Bowl that "sources have told me to look for Dylan Raiola's name to potentially emerge as a Duck."

"Here's the big question... would Raiola go and redshirt a season if Dante Moore came back, the same way Dante Moore came and redshirted a season behind Dillon Gabriel last year?" Thamel asked.

Raiola has spent the last two seasons at Nebraska as starting quarterback, a role he first stepped into as a true freshman in 2024.

His sophomore season was cut short, however, when he suffered a season-ending broken fibula in his ninth game of the season.

Raiola hit the transfer portal this winter having accumulated a career 69.1 passing percentage with 4,819 passing yards, 31 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 22 games with the Cornhuskers.

Like Moore, he is set to have two years of college eligibility remaining heading into the 2026 season.
