Luka Doncic Called Out for 'Hunting' Foul Calls by Lakers Legend Robert Horry
Seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry has joined the chorus of people criticizing Luka Dončić for chasing foul calls during games.
After the Los Angeles Lakers' 105-101 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Horry said on the Spectrum SportsNet LA postgame show that Dončić "starts hunting" for calls when the refs don't give them to him early in games.
"His game is predicated on getting fouls called, and the refs dont give him a call, he starts hunting even more to try to prove the refs wrong. You're too good of a basketball player to hunt for fouls," Horry said.

Horry, who played for the Lakers for seven seasons, is not the first franchise legend to criticize Dončić for foul hunting. James Worthy did it after the Lakers' Dec. 20 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Dončić was fairly quiet in the loss to Milwaukee, at least by his lofty standards. He "only" had 24 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
Even though 14 of Dončić's 24 points came in the second half, he was absent for most of the fourth quarter due to foul trouble. He eventually fouled out with 16 seconds remaining when his leg caught Kevin Porter Jr. as he was coming down on a three-point attempt in a tie game.
Dončić had eight free-throw attempts against the Bucks, his fewest in a game since Dec. 28. He leads the league with 12.0 free-throw attempts per game. No other player is averaging at least 10 attempts.
This isn't an uncommon critique of Dončić's game, but he has generally made it work for him. There are times it can get him in trouble because he will make sure the officials know he thinks they missed a call.
Considering Dončić is leading the NBA in scoring average (33.3 points per game), it's a small headache the Lakers can put up with because he is helping them win more often than not.
