LSU's Lane Kiffin Says He's 'Happy As Can Be' Amid Ole Miss CFP Playoff Bracket Run
One month after leaving Mississippi for LSU, Lane Kiffin is more than happy to let everyone know he is fine with the Rebels' success without him.
In response to a post on X about how Kiffin is "probably happy just chilling and trolling like the rest of us," he quoted it by writing he's "happy as can be."
Other than missing out on the possibility of winning a national title with Ole Miss, which isn't an insignificant thing, Kiffin is living large right now. His seven-year, $91 million contract with LSU will make him the second-highest-paid FBS head coach by average annual value, behind only Georgia's Kirby Smart.
On top of that, Kiffin received a $500,000 bonus after the Rebels' 39-34 victory over Georgia to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinal. He will get another $1 million payout if they go on to win the national title.
Plus, Kiffin received a hero's welcome from the Tigers faithful when he appeared at an LSU women's basketball game on Thursday at the same time Ole Miss was playing Georgia.
The tide could turn on Kiffin quickly if the LSU football team gets off to a slow start next season, but right now everything is going great for the 50-year-old.
