Cornerback
2 of 5
Most of the Chiefs' problems this season were on the offensive side of the ball. Unfortunately, they'll still have to address some defensive needs. Jaylen Watson, Joshua Williams and Nazeeh Johnson are all set to become free agents and Kristian Fulton hasn't proven he can stay healthy.
Mansoor Delane, LSU (No. 3)
Jermod McCoy, Tennessee (No. 7)
Avieon Terrell, Clemson (No. 20)
Running Back
3 of 5
The Chiefs have to have more help and stability around Patrick Mahomes going into next season. Part of that is replacing Isiah Pacheco. The running back is set to hit free agency and hasn't necessarily warranted a second contract.
Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame (No. 4)
Jadarian Price, Notre Dame (No. 31)
Emmett Johnson, Nebraska (No. 40)
Defensive Line
4 of 5
Chris Jones is still one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league. But he isn't getting any younger (31) and the Chiefs could use another piece or two on the interior as he continues to be utilized on the edge at times.
Peter Woods, Clemson (No. 10)
LT Overton, Alabama (No. 28)
A'Mauri Washington, Oregon (No. 37)
Tight End
5 of 5
Travis Kelce can't play forever. His retirement is an annual talking point and this Chiefs offense needs more weaponry that can stay healthy.
Kenyon Sadiq, Oregon (No. 15)
Jack Endries, Texas (No. 44)
Max Klare, Ohio State (No. 55)
