Curry then paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, wearing his "All-Star" Kobe 11s in the "Northern Lights" colorway during his warmups. They are the same pair worn by Bryant during his final All-Star Game in Toronto in 2016.
Curry has been showcasing his extensive sneaker collection after becoming a sneaker free agent when he and Under ArmourĀ parted waysĀ last month. He's frequently used his sneaker choices to pay homage, such as whenĀ he woreĀ former teammate Klay Thompson's signature Anta KT 11 "Christmas" shoes when they faced each other on Christmas Day in Golden State's 126-116 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
The 37-year-old also recently woreĀ Anthony Edwards' signature shoesĀ during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 12 andĀ Devin Booker's Nike Book 1 kicksĀ in a clash with the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 18.
Curry is expected to explore new sneaker partnerships next year, but for now, it's clear that he's enjoying the opportunity to have some variety in his shoe game. He will be trying to lead the Warriors (16-15) to a fourth straight win when they face the Raptors (18-14) on Sunday.
