Lane Kiffin Discusses Ole Miss' CFP Win vs. Tulane, Viral Shopping Basket Video, More

LSU head coach Lane Kiffin discussed Ole Miss' 41-10 victory over Tulane in the College Football Playoff after leaving the Rebels to accept the Tigers' role on Nov. 30.

"It was awesome, that was a great day, it really was," Kiffin said on the broadcast of LSU's clash with Houston in the Texas Bowl on Saturday. "I'm not just saying that."

"The biggest game in the history of the state of Mississippi," he added. "To blow out Tulane like that, it was awesome watching them. I was really excited for them."

Kiffin also commented on the viral social media video in which he brought home groceries in a store-provided basket after not wanting to pay for bags in the self-checkout line, explaining that he later brought the basket back to the store.

Kiffin, who has over 830,000 followers on X, was asked about his social media activity as well.

He served as head coach of the Rebels since the start of the 2020 season, but left to sign a seven-year contract containing a total value of $91 million with the Tigers despite Ole Miss heading towards a playoff appearance.

The Rebels will now prepare to face Georgia in a CFP quarterfinal matchup under new head coach Pete Golding.
