What is Stephen Curry's Timeline to Return? Warriors' Steve Kerr Gives Injury Update
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided an update on star Stephen Curry's eventual return from a quad injury.
Kerr revealed that Curry was "looking good" to play in Golden State's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday after missing the team's past five games, per Danny Emerman of the San Francisco Standard.
The Athletic's Anthony Slater noted that the 11-time All-Star was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, which included a scrimmage.
Curry suffered a quad contusion after colliding with multiple players throughout the fourth quarter of Golden State's 104-100 loss to the Houston Rockets on Nov. 26.
Kerr previously told reporters that Curry was progressing in his recovery and it was "realistic" for him to potentially come back against the Timberwolves on Friday.
The two-time MVP hasn't been able to consistently stay on the floor to open his 2025-26 campaign, missing time earlier in the year due to ankle issues as well as an illness.
Curry has remained one of the NBA's top point guards when healthy, though. He's averaging 27.9 points and 4.0 assists to go along with 1.3 steals per game, shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point territory.
The Warriors sit at 13-12 on the season, owning a 9-7 record with Curry available compared to a 4-5 mark in nine games without him.
