Eli Manning Jokes About Running Lane Kiffin Off Road After Leaving Ole Miss for LSU
Ole Miss legend Eli Manning had some fun with former Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin's claim that fans attempted to run him off the road as he left the school to fill LSU's coaching vacancy.
Manning jokingly took credit for the actions of the fans in a post on X.

Kiffin detailed the experience during his introductory press conference with the Tigers on Monday.
"I think that people get really upset when you leave somewhere because they feel hurt because you're doing a really good job," Kiffin said, per ESPN's Dave Wilson (h/t Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk). "They ain't going to the airport and driving from all over to say those things and yell those things and try to run you off the road if you were doing bad."
Kiffin announced Sunday that he was accepting the position of LSU's new head coach. Rebels fans weren't pleased with his decision, as Ole Miss is still in the midst of a 2025 season in which it owns an 11-1 record and is headed towards the College Football Playoff.
Defensive coordinator Pete Golding will serve as the Rebels' head coach moving forward.
Prior to Manning's 16-year NFL career with the New York Giants, the two-time Super Bowl champion suited up for the Rebels from 2000-03. His 81 touchdown passes are the most in school history, while his 10,119 passing yards are the second-most.
