Lane Kiffin Booed by Ole Miss Fans Before Boarding Plane to LSU on Video
Ole Miss fans had exactly the reception for Lane Kiffin you might imagine on Sunday, booing and heckling him as he boarded a plane for Baton Rouge after he accepted LSU's head-coaching position.
Kiffin said in a statement that he was hoping to remain Ole Miss' head coach for the College Football Playoffs but was denied by athletic director Keith Carter.

Ole Miss is 11-1 and headed to the College Football Playoff, but they'll do so after making a switch at head coach, providing the sport with a soap opera-worthy saga in the process.
Carter offered a statement of his own while announcing that defensive coordinator Pete Golding will take over as the permanent head coach.
"[Golding's] tenure will begin immediately as he leads our program in the pursuit of a national title," he noted. "Today's team meeting was a clear indicator of his ability to galvanize our squad. All of our players and coaches are ecstatic and ready to lock arms for a playoff run. From the moment he arrived in Oxford, we quickly realized Pete is a coach who could not only lead a program but elevate it to championship status. He has demonstrated an exceptional football mind, but more than that, he has shown a deep understanding of our culture, values and what it means to be part of the Ole Miss family. Simply put, Pete is one of us."
Ole Miss fans clearly expressed their belief on Sunday that Kiffin, on the other hand, was no longer one of them.
