2025 Week 13 College Football Picks, Predictions for Every Game
Step aside, SEC, this is not your weekend to shine.
Although the conference will return to the spotlight over the next two weeks, the customary late break has arrived for many SEC teams. Texas A&M and Alabama play FCS teams, for example, while Georgia hosts Charlotte.
Instead, Week 13 is largely about the ACC and Big 12.
Pitt travels to Georgia Tech for a clash of programs with one-loss ACC records, and SMU is aiming to stay in the conference title hunt as Louisville comes to town. BYU, meanwhile, heads to Cincinnati in a critical Big 12 contest.
Throw in USC's trip to Oregon with College Football Playoff implications, and this slate is set to offer a big platform to a few underlying, non-SEC storylines.
Rankings are based on the CFP Top 25.
Top Matchups for Week 13
1 of 5
No. 22 Missouri (7-3) at No. 8 Oklahoma (8-2), Noon ET
If quarterback Beau Pribula (ankle) returns as hoped for Missouri, this should be a competitive game. No matter who's behind center, however, a road upset for Mizzou is unlikely because of well OU's defense has played this season.
Prediction: Oklahoma 27, Missouri 19
Louisville (7-3) at SMU (7-3), Noon
SMU's hopes of returning to the ACC Championship Game are largely contingent on this matchup. Both programs have an excellent run defense, so whichever group wins up front will earn a valuable edge. I'll take SMU at home.
Prediction: SMU 28, Louisville 23
No. 15 USC (8-2) at No. 7 Oregon (9-1), 3:30 p.m.
Against its best competition this season, Oregon has been generally inefficient on offense. That leaves a thin margin for error in a showdown with USC. The good news for Oregon is the secondary, one allowing a nation-low 5.1 yards per attempt, is built to limit a talented USC offense.
Prediction: Oregon 31, USC 26
Pitt (7-3) at No. 16 Georgia Tech (9-1), 7 p.m.
Georgia Tech has pulled off a few escapes lately, but returning home should be a welcomed boost for the Yellow Jackets. Since the defense has struggled to shut down opposing passing games, though, expect Pitt to keep it tight.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 34, Pitt 30
No. 11 BYU (9-1) at Cincinnati (7-3), 8 p.m.
In all four previous road games against Big 12 competition, BYU has faced a double-digit deficit. After overcoming from the first three, BYU could not recover during the last one opposite Texas Tech. Cincinnati, at its best, presents a similar danger. And the Bearcats will be plenty motivated coming off a crushing loss to Arizona.
Prediction: Cincinnati 30, BYU 27

Prediction: CMU 27, Kent State 17
Louisiana (4-6) at Arkansas State (5-5), Thursday, 7 p.m.

Prediction: UNLV 36, Hawaii 30
Saturday Early Games
3 of 5
Rutgers (5-5) at No. 1 Ohio State (10-0), Noon ET
Rutgers actually has a decent offense, but a defense surrendering 34.6 points per game in Big Ten action is awfully problematic. Anything other than an Ohio State blowout would be surprising.
Prediction: Ohio State 48, Rutgers 10
Samford (1-10) at No. 3 Texas A&M (10-0), Noon
Earlier this season, Samford lost 42-7 at Baylor. This is about as stereotypical a lower-division cupcake game as possible, though a victory will all-but-officially lock up Texas A&M's spot in the CFP.
Prediction: Texas A&M 56, Samford 7
No. 13 Miami (8-2) at Virginia Tech (3-7), Noon
Two-plus weeks removed from the overtime loss at SMU, Miami's profile is starting to rebound in the national eye. In short, what a waste it would be for the 'Canes to implode at Virginia Tech. Even though key defender Keionte Scott (foot) is now sidelined, Miami's thorny unit should own this matchup.
Prediction: Miami 31, Virginia Tech 20
Charlotte (1-9) at No. 4 Georgia (9-1), 12:45 p.m.
Again, not trying to be disrespectful to struggling teams, but there's not much to discuss. Charlotte hasn't defeated an FBS opponent all season. It would take a miracle for the 49ers to slow down UGA.
Prediction: Georgia 49, Charlotte 6
Eastern Illinois (3-8) at No. 10 Alabama (8-2), 2 p.m.
Here's your unrequested fun fact of the day: Eastern Illinois is the college home of Tony Romo and Jimmy Garoppolo. Bama rolls.
Prediction: Alabama 56, EIU 3
Delaware (5-5) at Wake Forest (7-3), Noon
Prediction: Wake Forest 34, Delaware 17
Minnesota (6-4) at Northwestern (5-5), Noon
Prediction: Northwestern 23, Minnesota 20
Kansas (5-5) at Iowa State (6-4), Noon
Prediction: Iowa State 26, Kansas 24
Tulsa (3-7) at Army (5-4), Noon
Prediction: Army 28, Tulsa 23
Baylor (5-5) at Arizona (7-3), 1 p.m.
Prediction: Arizona 33, Arizona 30
Washington State (5-5) at James Madison (9-1), 1 p.m.
Prediction: JMU 31, Washington State 21
Old Dominion (7-3) at Georgia Southern (5-5), 1 p.m.
Prediction: ODU 30, Georgia Southern 24
Mercer (9-1) at Auburn (4-6), 2 p.m.
Prediction: Auburn 38, Mercer 14
Missouri State (7-3) at Kennesaw State (7-3), 2 p.m.
Prediction: Kennesaw State 28, Missouri State 26
Ball State (4-6) at Toledo (6-4), 2 p.m.
Prediction: Toledo 34, Ball State 17
Nevada (2-8) at Wyoming (4-6), 2 p.m.
Prediction: Wyoming 23, Nevada 14
Marshall (5-5) at Appalachian State (4-6), 2:30 p.m.
Prediction: App State 27, Marshall 24
South Florida (7-3) at UAB (3-7), 3 p.m.
Prediction: USF 41, UAB 21
Connecticut (8-3) at Florida Atlantic (4-6), 3 p.m.
Prediction: UConn 37, FAU 27
Liberty (4-6) at Louisiana Tech (5-5), 3 p.m.
Prediction: Louisiana Tech 24, Liberty 20
Sam Houston (2-8) at Middle Tennessee (1-9), 3 p.m.
Prediction: MTSU 28, Sam Houston 21
New Mexico State (3-7) at UTEP (2-8), 3 p.m.
Prediction: UTEP 26, NMSU 22
Saturday Afternoon Games
4 of 5
Syracuse (3-7) at No. 9 Notre Dame (8-2), 3:30 p.m. ET
The ugly truth is Syracuse hasn't scored more than 16 points in six straight losses. Unless the Orange pull out their best defensive performance of the year—on the heels of ceding 6.8 yards per snap in the last three—Notre Dame should win running away. (Literally, with superstar back Jeremiyah Love, too.)
Prediction: Notre Dame 42, Syracuse 14
Kentucky (5-5) at No. 14 Vanderbilt (8-2), 3:30 p.m.
Kentucky has found a spark in November, rattling off victories over Auburn, Florida and then-unbeaten FCS team Tennessee Tech. But a trip to Vanderbilt is a different level of competition—yeah, it's still strange to say. Vandy has a chance to finish its season with a perfect 7-0 home record.
Prediction: Vanderbilt 27, Kentucky 16
Arkansas (2-8) at No. 17 Texas (7-3), 3:30 p.m.
During an eight-game skid, Arkansas has played six one-possession games and squandered a fourth-quarter lead in another. This absolutely has "uncomfortable" potential for Texas. Nevertheless, the Hogs keep finding ways to lose.
Prediction: Texas 30, Arkansas 24
Michigan State (3-7) at Iowa (6-4), 3:30 p.m.
This is the window for losing streaks, huh? Michigan State has dropped seven in a row, and a clash at Iowa certainly isn't favorable. Iowa should capitalize on MSU's shaky run defense, one among the lower-ranked units in the Big Ten.
Prediction: Iowa 31, Michigan State 17
Kansas State (5-5) at No. 12 Utah (8-2), 4 p.m.
All season long, Kansas State has been a metaphorical box of mysteries. It would be perfectly K-State to somehow spring a road upset on a red-hot Utah squad. But you will not find me projecting that.
Prediction: Utah 34, Kansas State 14
No. 18 Michigan (8-2) at Maryland (4-6), 4 p.m.
The buzz around Maryland's hot start has vanished with six straight losses. Michigan isn't particularly impressive, but a resilient rushing attack and quality defense should be enough to help the Wolverines squeak past another Big Ten foe.
Prediction: Michigan 26, Maryland 21
Duke (5-5) at North Carolina (4-6), 3:30 p.m.
Prediction: Duke 24, UNC 20
East Carolina (7-3) at UTSA (5-5), 3:30 p.m.
Prediction: UTSA 31, ECU 28
Jacksonville State (7-3) at Florida International (5-5), 3:30 p.m.
Prediction: FIU 26, Jax State 24
Southern Miss (7-3) at South Alabama (3-7), 3:30 p.m.
Prediction: Southern Miss 27, South Alabama 22
No. 24 Tulane (8-2) at Temple (5-5), 3:45 p.m.
Prediction: Tulane 33, Temple 21
TCU (6-4) at No. 23 Houston (8-2), 4 p.m.
Prediction: TCU 27, Houston 24
Oklahoma State (1-9) at Central Florida (4-6), 4 p.m.
Prediction: UCF 31, Oklahoma State 14
Georgia State (1-9) at Troy (6-4), 4 p.m.
Prediction: Troy 23, Georgia State 13
Coastal Carolina (6-4) at South Carolina (3-7), 4:15 p.m.
Prediction: South Carolina 37, Coastal Carolina 16
Furman (6-5) at Clemson (5-5), 4:30 p.m.
Prediction: Clemson 41, Furman 10
Louisiana-Monroe (3-7) at Texas State (4-6), 5 p.m.
Prediction: Texas State 34, ULM 27
Saturday Evening and Late Slate
5 of 5
No. 20 Tennessee (7-3) at Florida (3-7), 7 p.m. ET
Florida's season-long issue has been a subpar offense, one barely averaging 20 points per game. Save for a couple of bad days defensively, though, that unit has consistently been annoying. Tennessee wins, but maybe not painlessly.
Prediction: Tennessee 30, Florida 17
Nebraska (7-3) at Penn State (4-6), 7 p.m.
Prediction: Penn State 27, Nebraska 20
Colorado State (2-8) at Boise State (6-4), 7 p.m.
Prediction: Boise State 31, CSU 17
New Mexico (7-3) at Air Force (3-7), 7 p.m.
Prediction: Air Force 28, New Mexico 23
Cal (6-4) at Stanford (3-7), 7:30 p.m.
Prediction: Cal 30, Stanford 21
No. 21 Illinois (7-3) at Wisconsin (3-7), 7:30 p.m.
Prediction: Illinois 26, Wisconsin 13
North Texas (9-1) at Rice (5-5), 7:30 p.m.
Prediction: North Texas 36, Rice 21
Western Kentucky (8-2) at LSU (6-4), 7:45 p.m.
Prediction: LSU 34, WKU 17
No. 25 Arizona State (7-3) at Colorado (3-7), 8 p.m.
Prediction: ASU 31, Colorado 23
Washington (7-3) at UCLA (3-7), 10:30 p.m.
Prediction: Washington 24, UCLA 20
Utah State (5-5) at Fresno State (7-3), 10:30 p.m.
Prediction: Fresno State 29, Utah State 24
San Jose State (3-7) at San Diego State (8-2), 10:30 p.m.
Prediction: SDSU 27, SJSU 16
