Dayton Raiola's Top CFB Landing Spots After Dylan's Brother Decommits from Nebraska

Doric SamNov 20, 2025

After decommitting from Nebraska and choosing not to join his older brother Dylan Raiola, high school senior quarterback Dayton Raiola needs a new landing spot.

Unfortunately, the younger Raiola doesn't have many options in front of him at the moment, as the only other offers he received besides Nebraska were from Appalachian State and Charlotte.

A two-year starter at Buford High School in Georgia, Raiola is rated as a 3-star prospect and the No. 99 quarterback in the class of 2026 inย 247Sports' composite. That type of resume is unlikely to motivate other big-name schools to come calling.

Perhaps Raiola is waiting to see if his older brother's time with the Cornhuskers is coming to an end. Dylan Raiola has been Nebraska's starting quarterback since setting foot on campus in 2024, but his 2025 season disastrously came to an end when he suffered a broken fibula against USC on Nov. 1.

If Dylan Raiola chooses to transfer, Dayton could follow in his footsteps. Before committing to Nebraska, Dylan had made commitments to Ohio State and Georgia before eventually decommitting from both schools. He could look for a new landing spot through the transfer portal and take his brother with him.

If not, Dayton Raiola will likely be looking at future offers from lower-tiered programs. The Georgia native could look to stay closer to home by joining a Sun Belt team like Georgia State, Georgia Southern or South Alabama. Only time will tell if he's able to score an offer from another big-name school after his defection from Nebraska.
