TAMU's Marcel Reed Apologizes in TikTok Video for 1st Half of Historic Comeback vs. SC
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed had some fun looking back at his dreadful first-half performance against South Carolina on Saturday.
Reed posted his usual celebratory TikTok video after the Aggies' 31-30 win and said "Sorry bout the first half" in the caption:
Everyone can laugh about it now, but nobody was smiling when A&M went into the locker room trailing the Gamecocks by 27 points. Reed had gone 6-of-19 for 141 yards and two interceptions, one of which was taken back for a South Carolina touchdown.
The Aggies flipped a switch after halftime and scored 28 unanswered points. Reed wound up with 439 yards and three scores through the air.
This was the biggest comeback in Texas A&M history, and SEC teams had previously been 0-286 in conference games since 2004 when trailing by 27 or more, per ESPN Insights.
Reed earned the right to turn the Aggies close call into some premium content.
