Beltre Ties Jeter for 29th Place on All-Time Doubles List
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre hit the 544th double of his career in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Colorado Rockies, tying Derek Jeter for 29th place on the all-time doubles list, per MLB Milestones.
The two-bagger came as part of a three-hit performance, with Beltre also adding two RBI in the narrow defeat.
Although he hasn't been his usual self at the plate this season, the 36-year-old third basemen has fared somewhat better of late, recording 12 hits over 33 at-bats (.364 batting average) in his last eight games.

The hot streak has bumped his batting average for the season to a respectable .261, but his on-base percentage (.293) and slugging percentage (.400) are still far below what the Rangers have come to expect.
Since leaving the Seattle Mariners in 2009, Beltre has posted a batting average of .296 or better, an on-base percentage of .331 or better and a slugging percentage of .492 or better in every single season leading up to 2015.
Even if he heats up in the second half, he'll inevitably fall short of all three marks, making this his worst statistical season since at least 2009.
Making matters worse, Beltre admitted Monday that his thumb is still bothering him, even though he returned from the disabled list nearly a month ago, per Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
With the Rangers no longer a realistic threat to reach the playoffs, Beltre might eventually head back to the disabled list, which would pause his journey up the all-time doubles leaderboard.
