AP College Football Poll 2025 Week 11 Rankings Released with Top Risers and Fallers
While Week 10 of the 2025 season was light in major upsets, the race for the College Football Playoff looks a little different after what transpired Saturday.
Ohio State continues to lead the Associated Press Top 25 poll after sweeping Penn State aside in Columbus. Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia continued to round out the top five.
Three Top-10 teams went down as No. 8 Georgia Tech, No. 9 Vanderbilt and No. 10 Miami all lost.

One facet of the 12-team playoff format is that two losses aren't disqualifying. As the ACC champion, Clemson made it in with three defeats last year and knocked a three-loss Alabama out of an at-large berth.
All is not lost for Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Miami, particularly the 8-1 Yellow Jackets. But the competition is fierce in the bottom half of the CFP picture and it leaves little margin for error.
Virginia was a big beneficiary of the chaos within the ACC in Week 10. The Cavaliers sit all alone in first place at 5-0, and went from 15th to 12th in the AP poll. If they beat Wake Forest, Duke and Virginia Tech in their final three games, then it may not matter within a CFP context whether they claim a conference title.
The exact opposite is true for Miami.
Mario Cristobal's squad dropped to 18th, and it doesn't have any remaining games in which it can make a strong impression on the CFP selection committee.
It still has to play Syracuse, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. The Panthers are the toughest opponent left, and they could easily lose their next two games (Notre Dame and Georgia Tech) before they welcome in Miami.
For a variety of reasons, it's tough to picture the school making a coaching change. But there's simply no excuse if Cristobal fails to deliver a playoff bid in his fourth season when all of the pieces are there.
Oklahoma coach Brent Venables, on the other hand, eased some of the pressure on himself with a 33-27 win over Tennessee, which vaulted the Sooners from 18th to 11th.
Star quarterback John Mateer still doesn't look like his usual self after coming back from a hand injury. He went 19-of-29 for 159 yards and an interception against Tennessee, though he and Xavier Robinson combined to run for 195 yards and two scores.
OU finishes up with Alabama, Missouri and LSU. Should the Sooners post a 10-2 record, they're a lock for a top-10 seed. That treacherous path also raises the risk of being on the outside looking in once again, which will be unacceptable to those in Norman.
Quite a few ranked teams are off in Week 11, so the schedule doesn't boast a lot of headline encounters.
BYU's trip to Lubbock to play Texas Tech is the most consequential on tap. The Cougars are first in the Big 12 at 5-0 with the Red Raiders and Cincinnati hot on their heels at 5-1.
Missouri (6-2) will try to keep their CFP hopes alive when they host Texas A&M.
Indiana vs. Penn State and LSU vs. Alabama could be prime upset opportunities. The Nittany Lions and Tigers are basically limited to playing the role of spoiler, and that can always be a dangerous position for ranked teams to be in.
