CeeDee Lamb Praises Dak, Says This Cowboys Offense is 'Best One I've Been On'

With a 3-3-1 record, the Dallas Cowboys have some work to do in the NFC playoff race. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb doesn't have any complaints with the state of the offense, though.

"This one is the best one I've been on, and I've been on some great ones," he said Wednesday, per Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site. "It's just the way that we can move around these pieces, these players, and everybody everywhere. We can line up faster than any. It's tough."

Quarterback Dak Prescott was of a similar mind.

"Not a knock to any other group that I've been a part of, but the chemistry, the camaraderie, the trash talking, the emotions and passions of this unit, it's there as much as I've ever seen it," he said after a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders. "Sure, we've got some youth that's probably a big part of it, but we've got guys who just work their tails off every day."

The Week 7 victory was Lamb's first game back after missing the previous three. Prescott was an efficient 21-of-30 for 264 yards and three touchdowns, while Lamb caught five passes for 110 yards and one score.

Even with his No. 1 wideout absent for a stretch, Prescott is on pace to set career highs in completion percentage (71.4), passer rating (107.6) and QBR (81.2). Always a consistent producer in the regular season, he's reaching another level.

The Cowboys have been vindicated with their approach to the backfield as well. Javonte Williams is second in the league in rushing yards with 592.

The trouble for Dallas is that it also ranks last in yards allowed and 30th in opponent scoring. Elite offenses can only compensate so much for a terrible defense.

At this rate, the Cowboys will continue to blow some teams out and win some shootouts. However, big improvement is needed on defense for them to be a serious contender.
