The black jerseys feature the word "New York" and the jersey number in orange, outlined in blue. There are also orange and blue stripes with an ombre effect on the sides of the jerseys and shorts.
Every NBA team will rock a Statement Edition uni at some point this season, with NBA LockerVision explaining that the uniforms are highlighted by "an alternate team color and/or a bold execution of the team logo identity, and features the Jordan Brand manufacturer logo."
On the Knicks' official website, some additional details regarding their Statement Edition uniforms were pointed out.
Among them are the fact that the orange and blue stripes on the side paneling are representative of the lights at Madison Square Garden. Also, the phrase, "Once a Knick, always a Knick," is included on the bottom of the jersey.
The Statement Edition unis will only be worn at home with the first Statement Edition game being a Nov. 14 meeting with the Miami Heat.
Overall, the Knicks are scheduled to wear the Statement Edition uniforms 12 times this season.
While blue, orange and white have typically been the Knicks' main uniform colors throughout their existence, they have worn different black alternate uniforms many times over the years as well.
Entering the 2025-26 campaign, the Knicks are in the conversation with the Cleveland Cavaliers as the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.
Per FanDuel, the Cavs are the favorites at +210, while the Knicks are second with +410 odds.
In addition to the fact that two of last season's top teams in the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers are dealing with devastating injuries in the form of Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton suffering torn Achilles in the playoffs last season, the Knicks are returning almost the same roster from last season.
New York has made three straight playoff appearances, including last season when it went 51-31 and reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.
The core of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson is back, plus the front office added some bench depth in the form of Jordan Clarkson, Malcolm Brogdon, Guerschon Yabusele and Alex Len.
New York has its best opportunity in years to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, and the team figures to look good doing it in the Statement Edition threads.
