Ranking Every 2025-26 UEFA Champions League Team's Home Kit
Football kits are fast becoming more fashionable.
These days, wearing a shirt with a pair of jeans might not get you hounded out of town (as long as you're not walking around in a full kit).
Thankfully, this year's UEFA Champions League features a wonderful and varied selection that can be easily incorporated into your wardrobe.
36-30: Bodo, Pafos, Slavia Prague, Juventus, Atalanta, Monaco, Union SG
1 of 7
36. Bodo/Glimt
A dull yellow with lots of sponsors on it. No thanks.
35. Pafos
This kit is basically just…blue. It's a clean shirt and reps the Cypriot club well.
34. Slavia Prague
Take a time machine back to an era before modern kits and Slavia Prague would still be wearing this one. It's unique and full of stars. It doesn't work as well as it could.
33. Juventus
Juve appear to have taken the best parts of their recent kits and blended them into an ugly mix. The black and white stripes are all over the shop and the pink is a reminder of much nicer kits of years gone by.
32. Atalanta
This is so nearly a really nice kit. However, the red sponsor on the black and blue stripes slaps away the compliments before they can be fully formed.
31. Monaco
Nothing wrong with this kit at all, aside from the bit of red overhang at the bottom. Still clean enough.
30. Union SG
That blue bit at the top makes the team look like one particular member of No Vacancy from School of Rock.
29-25: Atleti, Spurs, PSG, Kairat and Frankfurt
2 of 7
29. Atletico
This is the point of the list where most of the kits are actually pretty nice. Atletico's blue, red and white is always slick.
28. Spurs
Low-key and stylish as usual. Just feels so similar to every other Spurs kit.
27. PSG
Some people will love this kit, others will hate it. The cross-stitch middle doesn't quite feel befitting of the European champions.
26. Kairat
The collar really brings the black and yellow stripes together. Kairat's appearance in the competition deserves a few extra sales.
25. Frankfurt
This feels right on the borderline of being awful, but actually looks pretty good. That white trim is just managing to hold things together.
24-20: Gala, Leverkusen, Newcastle United, Marseille and Villarreal
3 of 7
24. Galatasaray
If you have owned a Gala shirt in recent years, you probably don't need this one. That doesn't stop the orange and dark red combo from popping, though.
23. Leverkusen
The slightly reddish, dotted gradient gives the shirt an odd netted feel. It could work with a pair of leather trousers.
22. Newcastle
It's very difficult for black and white stripes to look bad. It's also difficult for them to stand out.
21. Marseille
Those blue accents are delightful. The armpit colour might even hide a little sweat. What more could you ask for?
20. Villarreal
That navy stripe down the middle takes the emphasis off the sponsor and creates another top-tier shirt for the Yellow Submarine.
19-14: Copenhagen, Olympiacos, Bayern Munich, Club Brugge and Ajax
4 of 7
19. Copenhagen
At first glance, the shirt appears slightly cel-shaded, or that the little button could house a nice tie. Very smart.
18. Olympiacos
This is a cracking kit. The white stripes rising from the chest and connecting to the sleeve fit perfectly with that iconic badge.
17. Athletic Club
Another red and white banger. The black trim oozes class for the football connoisseurs out there.
16. Bayern Munich
Adidas continues to experiment with interesting designs for Bayern's kits. The white fade won't be for everyone, but it has its plus points for being just a little unconventional.
15. Club Brugge
Brugge's thin blue stripes on the black base work in reverse to the badge. A simple design that looks tremendous in motion.
14-10: Ajax, Qarabag, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Sporting CP
5 of 7
14. Ajax
It's impossible to say anything bad about an Ajax home kit. In fact, even having this fairly standard one ranked outside the top 10 is likely breaking the law. A lovely kit. No notes.
13. Qarabag
One thing Adidas excels at is pulling off designs that seem to defy convention, making them look as if they should be unappealing. The many triangles on the shirt allow the black to feel less bland and give this kit great texture.
12. Manchester City
Some kits have the potential to become iconic for a club's fanbase. Erling Haaland's current scoring rate, combined with the white stripe, might just have potential for Pep Guardiola's side.
11. Real Madrid
Really not the best Madrid design by their standards. That yellow trim just doesn't match the increased style under Xabi Alonso. Although a strong kit, the shirt could have been even better.
10. Sporting CP
Hoops are quite rare these days. Nike hasn't pushed the design too far on this, but the green neck and shoulders are vital to a great offering.
9-6: Napoli, Arsenal, Inter and Benfica
6 of 7
9. Napoli
All of Napoli's kits are pretty exceptional this season. The embossed 'N' pattern at the top of this one is kind of like wearing a scarf with your name on it. It works.
8. Arsenal
Oddly, Arsenal also has the starting letter of their name emblazoned across their kit. This time, Adidas has gone even bolder with it across the entire shirt. It's a not-so-subtle touch that feels old school and looks superb on the pitch.
7. Inter
Perhaps the most controversial placement on the list? Inter's traditional thick stripes are gone, replaced by a more vibrant, candle-like look. It's hard to innovate on such well-loved designs, so Nike deserves praise for its efforts.
6. Benfica
The dual-tone collar and sleeves elevate a fairly simple kit into one of the best in the Champions League this season.
5-1: PSV, Dortmund, Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona
7 of 7
5. PSV Eindhoven
More Charlie Brown-styled zig zags are needed on football kits. Throw in a black Puma badge and matching trim? Sign me up.
4. Dortmund
Kits inspired by the 1990s are extremely popular right now. Dortmund even adds in a little Noughties touch with the Vodafone sponsor.
It's rare for the Bundesliga outfit to wear boring kits, so it's no surprise the design doesn't resemble anything else in the competition.
3. Chelsea
One thing to say about Chelsea's kits this season: the FIFA Club World Cup winners' badge does them no favours. Even so, the west London side's blue kit is vibrant and features fashionable details that add a touch of extra style.
With that said, it's not as beautiful as their black Total 90 number.
2. Liverpool
The brief for Liverpool's home kit was quite obviously: "Remember when Fernando Torres was good?" The team's return to Adidas has already significantly improved its appearance.
This one could go down in history as a classic. But only if Arne Slot and his men can keep things together. (PS: Shoutout for the green away kit).
1. Barcelona
Barcelona's home kit combines elements that should make it attractive to many fans. It has the classic layout with thick stripes, but look closer: the smaller stripes in the middle make everything a little extra bold.
The Spotify logo somehow manages to look well-placed due to its colouration, and the detailing is nicely shaded in to produce the best home kit in this year's one-zillion team competition.
