Suns' Jalen Green Reportedly Turned Down 'Lucrative' Adidas Contract Before NBA Season
Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green is a sneaker free agent for the first time in his NBA career, according to footwear industry reporter Nick DePaula.
DePaula reported Tuesday that Green turned down a "lucrative multi-year" extension of his previous shoe deal with Adidas ahead of his first season with the Suns.
The decision will make Green "one of the NBA's top current sneaker free agents," DePaula wrote.

Green is now "expected to begin the NBA season and highlight his style by wearing a variety of sneaker companies" before signing his next footwear deal, DePaul wrote.
The news comes just over eight months after Green debuted his signature logo on the Adizero 3.0 in January.
Adidas first signed Green ahead of the 2021 NBA draft, just over two months before the Houston Rockets selected him with the No. 2 pick.
Green starred for the Rockets for four seasons before he was traded to Phoenix in June as part of the blockbuster deal for Kevin Durant.
He is now set to make his regular-season debut for the Suns, potentially while wearing a new sneaker brand for the first time in his NBA career, in his new team's Oct. 22 season opener against the visiting Sacramento Kings.
