Lane Kiffin Trolls Daughter's BF Whit Weeks, LSU HC Brian Kelly After Ole Miss Win
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin had some fun at the expense of his daughter's boyfriend, LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, following the Rebels' 24-19 win over the Tigers on Saturday.
"I'm looking for Whit right now to see if we covered the over," Kiffin said after the victory.
Kiffin previously commented to "take the over" as a response to an image of his daughter, Landry Kiffin, and Weeks prior to the contest.
The Ole Miss head coach was also quick to troll Brian Kelly after the game, sharing the LSU head coach's comments from earlier in the week in a post on X:
Despite Lane's playful jab on Saturday, he seems to have a positive relationship with Weeks.
"Whit's an awesome kid, comes from a great family, and I'm glad that those two are happy together," Kiffin said Wednesday, via On3.com's Alex Byington "It has nothing to do with the game itself. It's a really great family, and I think a lot of people got to see that on the SEC Special when they went hunting with the family."
Ole Miss initially struggled to move the chains against LSU's defense, punting on three of its first four drives before facing a 7-3 deficit in the second quarter.
The Rebels quickly responded with trips to the end zone on consecutive possessions just before halftime, consisting of a 15-yard touchdown run by Kewan Lacy and a two-yard touchdown pass from Trinidad Chambliss to Cayden Lee.
LSU pulled to within four points with a field goal late in the third quarter, but Ole Miss running back Logan Diggs found the end zone on the team's next drive and gave the Rebels a two-score lead that the Tigers ultimately couldn't overcome.
Weeks finished with 10 tackles in the defeat, the third-most on the team. He also recorded one tackle for loss.
As for Kiffin, he earned bragging rights on Saturday while the Rebels improved to 5-0.
