Shilo Sanders Reportedly Could Return to Bucs in NFL FA After Being Cut from Roster
While rookie safety Shilo Sanders was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, he reportedly could be back in the building soon.
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported that the Bucs "have not closed the door on doing business" with Sanders and appear open to bringing him back on their practice squad.
Sanders, who signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent, was waived just one day after he was ejected from Tampa Bay's preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills for punching tight end Zach Davidson in the second quarter.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"You can't throw punches in this league -- that's inexcusable," Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said after the team's 23-19 loss. "They're going to get you every time. You've got to grow from that."
Despite the unflattering moment, Florio reported that Sanders was "immediately remorseful following the incident," and the Bucs "enjoyed having Shilo in the building, viewing the son of Deion Sanders as a good kid, who was at all times respectful to everyone."
Sanders registered four total tackles across three preseason games. The 25-year-old was in the running for Tampa Bay's fourth and final safety spot behind Antoine Winfield Jr., Tykee Smith and Christian Izien.
The roster cutdown deadline is Tuesday, so the Bucs will have more moves to make before deciding whether to bring Sanders back. However, it sounds like he's done enough to earn a shot to compete on the practice squad as he continues to try to prove that he's deserving of a roster spot.
