Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best Under-the-Radar Pitchers to Keep an Eye On
With daily fantasy baseball, you always have to get out in front of the rest of the crowd. Fortunately, there are a number of top options capable of helping you in the second half of the season.
Unlike full-season leagues, you can't take advantage of knowing a preseason sleeper because the secret is already out at this point. You have to readjust and find the players capable of a big second half and grab them before the prices get out of hand.

It's easy to overlook Noah Syndergaard in a rotation that already has established young starters like Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom. However, the 22-year-old Syndergaard is fitting right in at this level.
The young pitcher hasn't allowed more than one run in any of the last three starts, totaling 22 innings in this stretch. His most recent game was truly a gem:
If he can put up these types of numbers in the second half of the season, he can win you a lot of money in fantasy baseball.
Cody Anderson, Cleveland Indians
Despite making just four starts in the majors, Cody Anderson is already turning a lot of heads. As ESPN Stats and Info noted, he put up record-breaking numbers in his first few games:
Even without high strikeout totals, a 0.89 ERA in 30.1 innings is certainly useful from a fantasy perspective. Considering how economical he has been with his pitches (averaging just 91.3 pitches per start), fans can start expecting Anderson to go even deeper into games.
If he can keep this up, he remains a quality option in fantasy leagues.
Mark Buehrle, Toronto Blue Jays
Although people are well aware of Mark Buehrle after 15 years in the league, few have noticed what he has done lately. The veteran has pitched at least seven innings in 10 of his last 11 starts, and he hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last eight.
An added bonus to this is the fact the Toronto Blue Jays have the best offense in baseball, which means a quality start often leads to a win and bonus points in fantasy.
Considering he hasn't cost more than $7,500 all season on DraftKings, he remains one of the best bargains in the league.
Taijuan Walker, Seattle Mariners

A 4.84 ERA is nothing to write home about, and overall, it seems like this could be considered a disappointing season for the top prospect. However, Taijuan Walker's flashes of brilliance in between the struggles provide reason to keep the faith:
| April | 6.86 | 19 | 11 |
| May | 5.74 | 28 | 12 |
| June | 2.36 | 36 | 3 |
| July | 5.82 | 17 | 1 |
Obviously, the poor performances are concerning, but the reality is these are all in the past. He has some of the best pure stuff in all of baseball, and he has shown the ability to be successful in the big leagues. If he can put it all together, fantasy owners can get great value.
Michael Pineda, New York Yankees
This has been a wild year already for Michael Pineda, whose price has drastically fluctuated throughout the season. This makes sense, because while he can have 16 strikeouts one start, he is also capable of giving up eight runs in a game.
However, the fact his FIP (2.63) is more than one run lower than his ERA (3.64) implies he has been a bit unlucky this season. He certainly does his best to help his own case, leading the American League with an 8.54 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
He has the talent to be one of the top pitchers in baseball, so be sure to draft him before his price reflects that.
