Best NIL and Transfer Portal Schools in EA College Football 26 Game
A decade ago, when EA Sports shuttered its popular college football franchise, the art of roster management was simple. Players committed, players stayed (for three or four years) and transfers were a rarity more than anything else.
The roster in place was largely the roster that was assembled through diligent high school recruiting. To say managing and following it all was a much more trivial task would be an understatement.
As College Football 26 consumes much of our attention, one thing is abundantly clear: Roster management and general awareness are complicated.
Turnover is enormous, and many teams are broken down and rebuilt in a matter of months.
For some, the transfer portal and NIL serve as an enormous negative. For others, especially those willing to spend their way to success, it's a positive. As the season nears, College Football 26 serves as a way for us to take an inventory of what teams have had the most success acquiring talent.
Here are the teams that stand out.
Auburn

Months from now, Auburn could look back on its transfer class as the moment everything changed. It wasn't just the total numbers, although there were plenty of additions. It was a slew of key additions at key positions.
It starts with Eric Singleton Jr., the former Georgia Tech wideout who joined the Tigers this offseason. He is rated as Auburn's second-best player (92 overall).
The most intriguing addition, though, is quarterback Jackson Arnold. The former 5-star recruit had an up-and-down tenure at Oklahoma, although the ceiling is undeniable. EA Sports hedged its bets with a modest 84 rating, which feels about right.
Auburn also added Ashton Daniels, formerly of Stanford, to beef up the position. He was bestowed an 80 rating.
Other Noteworthy Additions
Offensive Lineman Xavier Chaplin (82 overall)
Offensive Lineman Mason Murphy (79 Overall)
Wide Receiver Horatio Fields (76 Overall)
Texas Tech

As a program, in this new era of excessive spending, Texas Tech and its plentiful resources are likely to be a force across all sports.
We've seen it in women's softball, men's basketball and the habits have carried over to football, where the spending is likely to continue.
As for this year's transfer class, Tech added more than 15 players.
Edge David Bailey, who left Stanford to join the Aggies, is the highest-rated player on the team at 93 overall. Defensive tackle Lee Hunter, who played with UCF last season, is second on the team at 89 overall.
It doesn't stop there. This team loaded up at key positions, and the impact on the field could be massive.
Other Noteworthy Additions
Tight end Terrance Carter Jr. (88 Overall)
Wide Receiver Reggie Virgil (87 Overall)
Running Back Quinten Joyner (86 Overall)
LSU

Brian Kelly did not hesitate to reshape a roster that needed fixing.
On top of an exceptional recruiting class, LSU dove deep in the transfer portal. The Tigers finished with a transfer class many consider the deepest in the country, and they addressed both sides of the ball along the way.
On offense, the addition of Nic Anderson (88 overall) was a huge pull at wideout. The 21-year-old, who left Oklahoma, should be in line for a monster season. The same can be said about Barion Brown, who checks in at 86 overall. He joined LSU after leaving Kentucky.
Defensively, Patrick Payton, who transferred from Florida State, will add immediate pressure off the edge. He is an 88 overall and has massive breakdown potential.
Other Noteworthy Additions
Offensive Lineman Josh Thompson: (82 Overall)
Edge Jack Pyburn (80 Overall)
Defensive Lineman Sydir Mitchell (78 Overall)
Oklahoma

Now, this is how you make a splash.
While the Oklahoma Sooners lost their fair share of players through the portal, they were also on the receiving side of two potential program-altering additions.
Quarterback John Mateer (91 overall) joined Oklahoma after playing last season at Washington State. Given his enormous skill set, one could argue that no player was a larger transfer addition than him.
He’ll have the luxury of handing the ball off—or throwing it to—running back Jaydn Ott (90 overall), who left California to become the centerpiece of an offense that needs more explosiveness.
While this team has had its fair share of offensive struggles in the past, these two players alone should help change the fortune of Oklahoma in 2025.
Other Noteworthy Additions
Safety Kendal Daniels (85 Overall)
Edge Marvin Jones (84 Overall)
Wideout Keontez Lewis (80 Overall)
Miami
5 of 6
If nothing else, Miami isn’t boring.
The Hurricanes have committed to improving their roster through all means necessary, and that includes spending on recruiting and especially the portal.
For further proof, look no further than the addition of Carson Beck. While last season had more ups than downs for the quarterback—including a major surgery at the very end—the talent is clearly there.
EA Sports has given the former Georgia signal-caller a rating of 91, which feels about right. If he’s healthy, he could be one of the elite players in the nation.
On top of Beck, Miami added plenty elsewhere. Wideout CJ Daniels (85 overall), joins Miami after spending time at LSU.
Defensively, the addition of defensive tackle David Blay (82 overall) and Kamal Bonner (76 overall) give this team much needed help up front.
Add in meaningful additions on the backend of the defense, and Miami is in position to compete for an ACC title.
Other Noteworthy Additions
Cornerback Ethan O'Connor (85 Overall)
Safety Zechariah Poyser (84 Overall)
Cornerback Xavier Lucas (79 Overall)
Additional Teams Worth Mentioning
6 of 6
Missouri
One has to love the addition of former Penn State QB Beau Pribula (80 overall) along with former ULM running back Ahmad Hardy (92 overall) on offense. Former Georgia linebacker Damon Wilson II (85 overall) should make plenty of plays as well.
Florida State
A program in need of serious juice found some in the portal. Wideout Duce Robinson and linebacker James Williams are each rated as an 83. One of the team's most prominent additions, though, was former Houston cornerback Jeremiah Wilson (90 overall).
Oregon
Oregon's program has found new life, thanks in large part to hard work when it comes to player acquisition. Offensive linemen Isaiah World (91 overall) and Emmanuel Pregnon (89 overall) are massive additions up front. And safety Dillon Thieneman (93 overall) is one of the elite players at his position.
