Jazz's Jordan Clarkson Reportedly Receiving 'Next to No Interest' on NBA Trade Market
The Utah Jazz are reportedly having trouble moving on from one of their veteran players.
According to Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, the Jazz "would like to trade" longtime sixth man Jordan Clarkson, but "there is next to no interest on the trade market right now."
Clarkson has spent over five years with the Jazz after being acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers midway through the 2019-20 season. In his first full year in Utah in 2020-21, he was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 18.4 points and leading the league with 203 three-pointers off the bench. He was moved to the starting lineup in 2022-23 and averaged a career-high 20.8 points, but things have gone downhill after that.

Larsen added that the 33-year-old "simply has not had a very good last two seasons and is on the wrong side of the age curve."
Clarkson played in just 55 games in 2023-24 before being limited to 37 games this past season. His 2024-25 campaign was cut short by season-ending surgery to address plantar fasciitis in his left foot. When he was on the court, he averaged 16.2 points and shot a career-worst 40.8 percent from the field.
The 2025-26 season is the final year of Clarkson's contract, and he will make a salary of $14.3 million.
The Jazz already shipped away guard Collin Sexton and a 2030 second-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for center Jusuf Nurkic on Sunday, but it's clear that they have more moves in mind. Utah is still working its way through a rebuild, but there's some optimism after the franchise landed promising prospect Ace Bailey with the No. 5 pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
If the Jazz have their way, Clarkson will be the next player out the door as they continue to usher in a youth movement with Bailey leading the way.
