Cooper Flagg Betting Props Revealed After Mavs Pick Duke Star No. 1 in 2025 NBA Draft
It's long been expected that Cooper Flagg would be the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, and that's exactly what happened as the Dallas Mavericks selected the ex-Duke star first on Wednesday.
Flagg, a consensus All-American and the national college player of the year for the 2024-25 season, now heads to a talented Mavericks team that could easily find itself back in the playoffs with a talented trio of accomplished, championship-winning veterans (Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson) already on board.
Unsurprisingly, some scoring props are already available for Flagg, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
- Cooper Flagg To Record a Triple Double in Any Game in the 2025-26 Regular Season: -115
2. Cooper Flagg To Score 40+ Points in Any Game in the 2025-26 Regular Season: +300
3. Cooper Flagg To Score 50+ Points in Any Game in the 2025-26 Regular Season: +1600
4. Cooper Flagg To Score 30+ Points in his First Game in the 2025-26 Regular Season: +2000
Flagg led Duke in scoring last season, averaging 19.2 points on 48.1 percent shooting. He also made 38.5 percent of his threes and 84.0 percent of his free throws. The well-rounded Flagg also averaged 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
FanDuel essentially gives Flagg slightly better than 50-50 odds to get a triple-double for at least one game this year. That's certainly possible given Flagg's ability to contribute even when he's not scoring. It may be a bit more difficult for Flagg to get 10 assists, especially with Irving running the point, but he should get his fair share of rebounds even with a talented big man Davis out there.
The scoring props will be harder to hit, as evidenced by the longer odds. The Mavs have three talented scorers in Irving, Davis and Thompson, so it could be hard for Flagg to find a path to 30 or more points. But there could also be nights where some of that trio is missing to injury or rest, and that would put the onus on Flagg to carry more of the scoring burden.
Ultimately, landing Flagg is a massive win for this team, especially after trading the uber-talented, five-time All-NBA player Luka Dončić. Now the Mavs have a player who could easily become the most versatile player in the NBA and perhaps its top two-way star as well.
