Kristaps Porzingis, Myles Turner Reportedly Eyed by Suns amid Durant Trade Rumors

Zach BacharJun 16, 2025

The Phoenix Suns are reportedly interested in multiple centers that can space the floor during the 2025 offseason.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Suns have done some "background work" on Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porziņģis and are included on the "list" of teams looking to lure Myles Turner away from the Indiana Pacers in free agency.

Phoenix is reportedly continuing to search for a potential landing spot for Kevin Durant on the trade market as well.

Despite Durant's murky future with the organization, Fischer previously reported that the team is still committed to building around Devin Booker.

Porziņģis has served as a key starter with the Celtics when healthy over the past two seasons, averaging 19.8 points and 7.0 rebounds to go along with 1.8 blocks per game on 50.2/39.2/83.8 shooting splits throughout his tenure in Boston.

He's set to earn $30.7 million for the 2025-26 season before hitting restricted free agency in 2026.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that finding Porziņģis' trade market is a "primary focus" for the Celtics during the offseason.

Health issues have hampered the former All-Star during his two years in Boston, appearing in just 99 combined games. He also averaged a mere 7.7 points and shot 31.6 percent from the field during the Celtics' 2025 playoff run while dealing with an illness.

Turner is also one of the league's top three-point shooting centers, connecting on a personal-best 39.6 percent of his triples during the 2024-25 regular season. He's also shown that he can anchor a defense and provide elite rim protection, owning a career average of 2.2 blocks per game.

Turner's currently averaging 14.8 points per game for the Pacers in the playoffs, helping them reach the 2025 NBA Finals.

It may be difficult for Phoenix to add Turner, with Charania reporting that there was "mutual interest" between Indiana and the center regarding a new contract with the team on June 8.

The Suns appear to be headed towards a busy offseason.
